Established in 1944, Yaroslavl State Medical University is one of the biggest regional centers of medical education, and biomedical research. YSMU is a leader in UG and PG education, training, and research. The University is also a specialist in practical healthcare, medicine, and pharmacy.

Currently, there is 4000 domestic and international students studying at Yaroslavl State Medical University. It has 55 departments that conduct bespoke medical training and education.
